I quickly drew this last week. It must be the process of getting used to a new house, or perhaps they call this "adulthood" but it always seems I can't get ahead of silly little things. I hardly have a busy schedule, especially compared to some of the mummies I know yet I can't seem to get organised around here. Piles of newspapers accumulate secretly overnight, shoes multiply in the hall, cat fur and dust blow tumbleweed like through the house. I think it is having a basement and a second floor that does it. There are more places here! The apartment had one floor and granted after having lived there 8 years, I had pretty much everything under control. Here I am still in the process of getting a routine under my belt and I think that is all it is. Items remain homeless and some things are still packed! Also, I seem to have morphed into an old man, constantly feeling for drafts, listening for odd drips and thinking about the furnace and drain pipes. Last week I crocheted a chain of fat yarn to mash under the baseboards in the front room! It actually did make a difference to the draft and for that I am proud. Paul also spent ages in the basement organising boxes. It looks fab doen there now! ♥
I was jittery with pleased-ness on friday when I unearthed these craft books at the Japan Foundation library. They are not new to the blog world, but are new to me. So pretty! Oh how I love the Aranzi Aronzo toy book!
