I finished my socks just in time for a cool turn in the weather. It feels like fall all of a sudden and it's nice to wear some socks again. I get tired of feeling every grain of sand I track into the house. No matter how much I sweep, there is always more! And to be honest , I don't sweep too often-;)
This was a lovely pattern for socks because it was for worsted weight yarn which went oh so much faster then sock weight. It is this pattern for beginners socks #9728- very nice.
We went out to have a picnic with Krissy and Paul. What ended up happening was a lovely lunch at their house with a thunderstorm raging outside, and then a walk later at the beach, as if the storm never even happened! Thanks guys, we had such a nice time.
Also, check me out! Here I am yesterday at the Chapters with the first real life sighting of Berkeley!
Yippee! Wonderfully, our book is in this top ten on the Chapters/indigo website!! I can't stop using exclamation points !!! and I am sorry for that!!!

It's so funny that you commented on your use of exclamation marks - I find I'm using them for every sentence, too! What's life without a little "!!!!!" ?... Quotes are another fun one, but "let's not go there!";)

your socks are so great! i love the idea of using worsted weight yarn for socks. maybe that would inspire me to try making some. i swear it would take me a year to make a pair with regular skinny sock yarn.
we had such a lovely day with you both too!nothing like food, friends, and the beach to make for a super day!

I never ever do what any knitting pattern tells me to do... or use for that matter!!!!!! lol
I do love the socks and will use the pattern... thanks heaps!
I love the arty/blury photo of oneself... very nice. Wish I was there for the story telling... very jealous.
We are due for our first day of spring this weekend... so I am sooooo excited. This of course means I get to whip up a housefull of girly frocks and accessories for Miss 8. Yay for me!
