a lovely rainy spring Sunday

I went out for a little outing this afternoon in the rain, and I finally took a picture of the best umbrella ever, that I got as a birthday treat for myself, was it two years ago now?  Anyway, I still love it.  It makes any rainy day cheery.  I try to have a little walk every day now that I am off work and am as big as a house.  It helps the hips stay loose!  Also, it helped my craving for a treat. I had wanted to find a brownie,  but they were sold out so I got a lemon square instead.  Deliciousness~

 

I just love spring and here are some gorgeous spring blooms to admire, from up the street.  My tulips are all up now, and though its a bit early, I cannot complain.  I love the flowers!  I cut a few for the kitchen table.  Did anyone ever tell you a few pennies in the water keep tulips all upright and straight?  It really works!

 

Also, here is the mobile I have been hinting at.  Clouds and rain, with faces of course.  I considered leaving them blank, but who am I kidding.  This is me we are talking about. All that mess around the outside is just to hide the bedroom bits and pieces I couldn't crop out.  I wish I had a white pristine area for taking nice photos of things, but there you go.   Kikkerland makes this great wire mobile frame that you can just clip stuff to!  So I can change it later if I want to.  They also make this madly wonderful head massager which Paul got me for Valentines day.  Tingly!

Finally, a forgotten picture of cookies Paul encountered at some event he went to last fall.  So cute! Sweet of him to have taken a picture too, since he knew I would like to see them.

We are pretty much in waiting mode around here!  It's a nice time, puttering about and preparing for our new addition.  No way to know when he will make his grand appearance of course.  Could be any day!

I love your pictures and cafts.Eveything is so cute! I am glad to see all Japanese books too, 'case I am from Japan living in Toronto for a year.
