These Muffins on Super Eggplant looked so good, that I havn't been able to stop thinking about them! So last night I baked some. I added way more coco than called for because I didn't have any chocolate chips and they are yummy! Still not quite chocolatey enough for my craving though - I think I was hoping for brownie-ness. They are close enough to satisfy that "February, almost Valentines, I need cakey chocolate" hunger.
I gave in and ordered the Stitch and Bitch books. It was cheaper to buy both , so I did! How sneaky of them... I have heard the first one is great for beginners, which I certainly am. I still can't figure out casting off for goodness sake!
The biggest knitting breakthrough of the year was being told by either Jenna or Karina that I can just knit or just pearl- that knitting did not mean alternating between both the entire time. DUH!! That helped me hugely, because I would always forget where I left off and have the lumpiest knitting around. Thanks guys!
yum! i am a lumpy knitter. still struggling on my 1st scarf-- for a year now. my friend says the trick is to have it be something you really want to wear. i.e. a striped scarf for my boyfriend is no incentive. hee.

Mmmm, the muffins look yummy! They are more chocolatey if you add the chips. In the charter issue of Cook's Country, they have a whole section on BROWNIES. Egads. Okay, now I must go rip into the two bags of Dove's chocolates I just bought ...

Yum those do look good! We've been making these very dense brownies with fancy chocolate lately and i'm quite addicted to them. is it brownie season?

Tania, I have a craving for chocolate too. I'll have to make muffins "for my kids." Also, you have to check out the birds here. They are soooo great. http://birdinthehand.blogspot.com/ (scroll down) Lizette
