There's nothing like biking with the summer breeze in your hair! Now that we have to wear helmets, it is a rare feeling - at least in the city. The other day I indulged. Then on the way home from work I stopped in the park and sat in the grass with my shoes off, watching people play baseball. Lovely! Just incase you can't see the biker boy... which you can't really, all the images get to look so teeny tiny on here.

Our big bike ride yesterday was something else - thousands of people it seemed, turned out to raise money for the heart and stroke foundation and we biked 50 km starting at the EX, all the way up the Don Valley Parkway to York Mills! Phew! My bottom is a bit sore today. It is so cool to be on a normally gridlocked highway, completely free of any cars. I wish it was always like that.

congratulations on making it through that 50k ride! i can't even imagine what the dvp looks like without bumper-to-bumper traffic! i'm sure it's actually kinda pretty with all the green space around it. i prefer riding my bike helmet-free too but i'm too much of a klutz to actually do it anymore.
