I couldn't believe my luck when in the mail today was this awesome birthday gift from Hillary!! I had been ogling this bag when it was posted and now I get to have it. And I thought my birthday was over! Closeuphillary

Then there is the candy - looks like green tea bean chews! and the great matchibako book. It is made in an accordian way and there are images on both sides, of the coolest little matchbooks ever. All from Japan in the 1920's and 30's. I love these! My dad used to bring back the neatest little matchbooks when he went to Japan for business when we were kids. This reminds me of that.

I'm so happy you like it and that's so neat about the book. Had you mentioned before that your dad brought you matchbooks? Did I have that fact buried in my subconscious or am I just a good guesser.

y'all do the best presents! i can't believe how excited i get by other people's mail. i have a vicarious mail fetish. surely there's a cure? congrats on the bag, i saw it when she posted it...it's going to love living with you!
