You might scare it away!

That is how I felt this morning when I very tentativley noticed I was feeling a bit crafty. When I realised I WAS in fact feeling crafty, I approached the feeling as if I were trying to photograph a small skittish animal - stay low to the ground, move slowly and VERY quietly! I have cleared away a few of my more pressing client jobs and I had a free morning to fudge about with fabric- something I feel I haven't done since before Christmas with all the making for selling stuff. Yay! I have been mucking about in a bit of a grey cloud lately I think, what with my dads anniversary, house hunting, fretting over feeling not quite rich enough to buy a house and the general hibernation that comes with cold long winters. Today it was like the clouds parted and I finally saw myself again and the little things that have not registered on my radar for ages began to inspire me again. Phew! Now it's time for lunch.
Perhaps a celebratory lunch down the street at the Portuguese bakery for some $3.00 soup in in order. Yum!
:D
I don't have t go out for soup! Just as I was leaving my kind granny neighbor brought me her own homemade soup. How sweet and kind. Bless her - It will be sad to move away from my nice neighbors.
i love that flower stamp!

That fabric is so creative and lovely! Can I ask what kind of paint/ink you used? And will it be washable?

Oh my, that is beautiful! Did you start with the bird printed fabric or is that stamped too? Wonderful!

that fabric is so pretty! i really love the flower and birds together. do you know what it's going to become or are you just playing around with the stamping?

I adore the pattern you created on the fabric. So simple and pretty. And what a sweet neighbor you have!

Oh it's beautiful. I like the birds but I'm not sure if you did them or if they were already there?
And I'm sorry about your Dad.
That crafty feeling, it's so elusive, for me mostly it's only vague clouds of ideas at the moment... and a Faroese shawl, in the very early stages.

:)
thanks!
wel, the birds i had silkscreened on a few years ago, and the rest is just stamped with a red office ink pad.

You are probably suffering from March madness...the weather is tempting us with one or two mild days to make us think it is spring, and then blasting the cold again. You have got a lot on your plate, it seems. It is good to see you are crafting and being tentative...and neighbourly soup! what a delight!
