Here is a picture Paul took of me at this Angela Bullock art show we looked at on saturday- it was pretty.
We took a bike ride all along the lakeshore to go and look at the bike thing. They made half the whole road a bike lane as well, but only for 2 weeks. It was soo nice! How good would our city be if it were more like Amsterdam and we could bike peacefully along without fearing the fast cars?
I am furiously drawing away here for the book. I met Amy on Tuesday and had a great old time chatting and was thrilled that she likes how the work is going so far, halfway along. She showed me photos for the book and my my, it is going to be beautiful! My deadline is Sept. 8.
On Monday, I met Joanie for noodle soup and had the best time hearing all about her life since I last saw her at age 9 or 10. She is still as cute and fun as ever, except now she is 25. I hope to see her again soon, since she is moving stateside.
Things are slowly coming along. You know how it is when you move- the upstairs phone jack didn't work and it took weeks to get a guy in, and then the cordless phone battery died and it took a week more to get a new battery. Now I have a phone in my studio, the internet is fine, I am sending my old modem back, but late because they sent the info to my old adress. I am finally getting checks, that were sent to my old adress despite my updating my adress. We got a basement dehumidifier after realising it was a bit damp. ETC ETC- All that stuff. Now if we could only get our new best friend, Fernando the fix everything guy, round to look at this wierd drippy thing. He is very in demand because he is so affordable.
Oh and Talledega nights was AWESOME. Just what I needed - complete ridiculousness.
oh! that show looks great.....
glad to hear you are settlin' in.... slowly but surely!

Cool photo! I can't wait to see Talledega nights! I love Will Ferrel. Him and his co-star (sorry sir, name escapes me) were on Larry King Live last week for an hour -in character!- it was too funny.
