A mingling of threads

You need to find a basic sock pattern like the Ann Norling's AN12 Adult Basic Socks formula. It gives you the information to knit socks using 3 gauges of yarn. So, all you need to know is what gauge your yarn is and then you follow the formula for that gauge. Jackie of Karp Styles generally has this item in stock or she can get it for you, just drop her an email.
This is the sock formula I used when I taught myself to knit and it is the main sock 'pattern' I still prefer to use, though now I prefer to do a short row heel. Most yarn stores should have a copy of this pattern as it is a classic.

What a great idea for wedding giveaways! It's a pretty reminder of a happy event, and best of all, it has no sugar content (for people like me who forget to take out the sweets from my pockets after events like these!)

ooh thats a great tip Paula,
thank a lot!
