Wow- I was so touched by all your messages of congrats! It was delightful and wonderful to read them and to hear from some lurkers as well! It is so nice to feel I have girlfriends all over the world through this little blog! It is amazing and I love it. Thank-you all so much. xoxoxox ♥
Weddings are a funny thing. I was so glad to do it this way as I get so uncomfortable with a lot of fuss and bother. I have always felt that it is the marriage not the wedding that I need to focus on! I know my family would have liked to be there but we will have a party when everyone is in town.

As a crafty addenendum ( is that how you spell it?) to our trip, I almost seriously fainted when I saw the amount of knitting needles in the thrift stores in Victoria and Sidney. We got married in the morning and after a nice brunch and some cake, Paul and I naturally went thrifting. In Toronto I have a terrible time ever finding needles at thrift stores but on the west coast it is a bounty of untold proportions! I guess due to an aging poplulation who perhaps no longer bother with knitting? Whatever the reason, I bought tons and even taught our host (Paul's best friends wife and our good friend) to knit. She was tearing through a baby blanket when we left and I am so thrilled to have lit the knitting fever in another person. Mwa hah ha ha.
they have been precisely my thoughts and feelings on weddings too. so great to see that the romance is still alive

Congrats - i love how you just 'threw that in' at the end of your previous post. I'm also envious that you found so many needles - i once scored a few at the Cabbagetown Yard sale weekend. The key word is once!
