Sneak peek!

Look at that!  I just had my run down phone call with the Kids Can Press marketing department and I am very exited!  My, they do a great job of things.  She reminded me of the Kids Can website where you can see my illustrator profile,  sneak preview spread pages, which I borrowed for my own purposes, above.  Click for slightly bigger!

There is also a really really neat activity PDF you can download (on the left hand side under "Extras" , presently called "learning materials". ) So if you are a teacher,  your class can do this activity or if you are a mum, your kids can play along too!  You can make your own "magic microphone"!

Now I better skedaddle...

...but not before saying a ginormous THANK-YOU for all your wonderful comments on my last post!!  It's so amazing to feel like we have this great community out there where we are all cheering for each other!  I am very exited, to say the least, about becoming a mum myself.  I have been reading all your mum/kids/crafty  blogs for so many years now,  just longing for it to be my turn!

That's right!  For some reason I have waited this long to mention, I am 26 weeks pregnant with a tiny little baby boy and happy as a clam!  The above picture was around 24.5 weeks, and I had meant to post it closer to the beginning of January - oh well!  The adorable onesie we silk screened ourselves at our friend's silk screening New Years eve bash!  He is a high school photography teacher and did this project this year, had a bunch of screens with Avedon images, among others.  We can't figure out who this man is, but I love the idea of a little baby boy wearing a picture of a grown up man.  "Son, someday this will be you..."

Wow! What a trip.  I can feel him wiggling away inside my belly.  Some of my close friends know what a long, painful journey it has been to get to this point and so we are just so grateful grateful to be here.  Trying to take things real easy and not over tax myself.  I'm not even listening to the news.  I just want to focus inward and take good care.  So I am pretty self absorbed these days and not feeling the urge to post as much!  I did treat myself to a brownie today so I am not following ALL the rules... ;)  A girl's gotta live!

Perhaps now that my news is out,  I will post more often...I would like to blame my iphoto for part of my lack of posts, it's SO SLOW!! Just to upload this one image took ages and ages, something must be amiss...but I just don't have the patience for it.  Perhaps more drawings!

Well my goodness- did my two weeks off really go by that fast? Sigh! Work tommorow!

 

I did get a bit crafty and made this stamp for another scarf.  I am a big red and white polka dot fan...

It was a lovely holiday spent with my family.  Lots of eating, laughing and loafing around. perfect.

I love these knitted tree ornaments I spotted on one of our walks!  How clever!

A good omen!  We had a whitey sighting in the park-
