Petit Pattern book

Surprisingly available on amazon!  This book is so cool- I haven't had time to take pics of the pages, but it is just page after page of awesome patterns that are on a dvd.  You can make them into anything, none of which I have made yet...but still!  Paul got it for my birthday LAST YEAR and I finally am telling you about it now.  It would be cool to get some spoonflower fabrics made from it and make something... or make one into a big wall print...  We found it at the irresistable paper place, who have started to carry a delicious assortment of Japanese bits, like Shinzi katoh stationary, these print books and many other madly wonderful things.  Paul got this poster book by Suzy Ultman, ( who I have not even heard of but she is amazing! )  for me last week there because he knew I was too mean to just buy it for myself.  There are some wonderful prints for the baby's room.  Our two fav's are shown at the link!  Paul like the bikes one and I like the whales- :)

And guess what? Tommorow is SPRING!!!!!  I am starting to see my tulips and grape hyacinths popping up amongst last year's dead leaves in the garden and the sun stays out later- ah bliss-  I've got some work to do today, but I must get out for a nice walk.

Yippee! A box full of books arrived at our house last week.  They are very generous with their contributors copies!  I once worked for a publisher who kept all my final artwork and gave me one copy of the book! It was a nice book, but nicer still to get a big pile of books. :)

I've got my watercolors out for a little illustration job and so I felt like doing a little doodle as well!

Boy, it has been a while- drawing for fun!  What a novelty!  I just love my Friday's.  I also love all my free time - those mornings on the weekend when we sit quietly reading the paper, strolling around town, stopping for a tea, reading on the couch on a sunny afternoon-  because I know how soon it will be MUCH busier around here!

I don't know if I ever linked to this site, which I drew a few little illustrations for.  She is a child psychologist and I love how she set up her site.  The little girl goes in all shy and nervous and comes out feeling much better.  Today's work is also for another child psychologist's upcoming website- will post once it is live!

little sweater

I finished this up a week or two ago- my first ever sweater.  I think the body got a bit wide but the baby will grow into it!  It is made from this yummy Christmas present.   I have just enough left to make a little stripey hat to match I think.  I keep losing the link to the pattern I used but it was very easy.

I am almost 33 weeks now, not long to go!  I have to force myself to slow down.  Work is really busy and I have to rush here and there, but I am just going to have to slow down because I am heavy and exhausted! There! It is in writing.  SLOW DOWN TANIA!

I had another picture to show you of the encyclopedia book stand but it ended up being a horrible picture, all dark and grainy so I will spare you the misery of looking at it.

fo' sale peeps

It's finally time to give these babies up.  I found them years ago at value village and had to have them!  Never mind that they are size 36/ us 6 and I am a size 39/ us 10!  I have had them artfully displayed in the hall by the stairs just because I love to look at them!  But I am in a purging mood and we always have grand plans of having an EBAY store which never happens, so this is a good start!

I listed them here, probably should have looked at what other ones are selling for first.  I didn't bother so they are cheap but does anyone have such small feet??  Somebody must, I am just a foot giant.

Phew time for a rest- why do such things like listing on ebay feel so exhausting?  I did have plans to make some muffins...perhaps...
