This old chestnut, my map of the Junction area in Toronto, is being ressurrected for an upcoming show at the Wise Daughters shop in...the Junction area of Toronto! Here is the FB event page. Stop on by! There will be so many lovely things there to look at. This show is a celebration of all things Toronto, my home town.
My inclusion in this show is a bit of a fluke. My friend Marlena is the Toronto Map go to girl, along with many other mignificent illustrations. We were talking the other day at the Parenting Center while wrangling our little boys. She mentioned being busy framing maps for a show in the junction and I said "Oh didn't you do a map for the Junction? No.. no wait I was the one who did a map for the Junction!" She was on vacation when MURMUR needed this map originally way back in 2008 and she told them to ask me to draw one. aaaaaaaand I did. the end.
It's so nice when your posts pop up on my reader! It's been years since I was in Toronto, and I wish I could think of a good reason for a visit. But it's a little harder to make quick trips these days, with 2 little boys to complicate things. It would be fun to meet you the next time I get to Toronto, though!

OH! So happy to read this Tania! I literally just emailed Mar saying how much your map looks like hers. Now it makes sense. See you tomorrow!
