Sounds awesome right? Well, it is actually my hot bag, the one with monkeys. I don't talk to anyone about my hot bag at all, but then I thought perhaps I should let it out. The world needs to know!
This thing saves me all the time! I use it on my sore neck, or if I am just chilly, or to heat up the bed in the winter. I have made Paul two lately, one for home and one for work, for his very sore shoulder. Yes Star Wars fabric for him - sigh. These might be great gifts this Christmas because they are quick, cheap and so so comforting. I use one bag of pearl wheat or wheat berries inside and throw the whole thing in the microwave for one and a half minutes.
Want to make your own? It's so easy. You will need:
- one bag of pearl wheat ( only costs around $2-3 )
- a way to sew it up, machine or by hand
- a piece of fabric, 11 x 15.5 inches
Take your fabric, fold it in half, right sides facing in and sew one short end and one long side. Turn it right side out, fill up the bag with your wheat berries and fold in to neatly close your open end. Sew it shut. Enjoy!!
